This has got me wondering - can you install the latest ISO of the RPi Desktop for PC and Mac, and upgrade to Trixie, then install the latest version of the Raspberry Pi Desktop as well? I did a quick check of the new meta packages for the Raspberry Pi Desktop (e.g. rpd-common), and they seem to be getting built for i386, so they at least compile for i386. Has anyone looked to see if they work? Granted they're not 64-bit, but the rest of the userland is 32-bit anyway IIRC. Might spin up a VM to have a look...
