As with all things lasers there's definitely a need to supervise and make sure it's used appropriately. There's a master rocker switch on the front so it can be turned off at a moments notice if used responsibly. I have also considered replacing the laser with something like a printed finger that points instead. I think it would be reasonably effective still but certainly not as impressive.
One other thing i could do is pull flight data and use that to avoid airplanes. I'll look into that possibility. At the moment this is definitely not at "product" in the sense that it's not intended for wide customers usage, but for makers such as yourselves who are capable of taking responsibility both for building and properly operating the device.
Thanks for your thoughts and i'm curious what you think about automatic aircraft avoidance. I also considered having it do short bursts instead of a constant stream. It could still be interesting but pose a much lower risk .
