I followed these steps exactly, still no display on the lcd. It feels as though I should be defining the pins im using for everything, or I should be running a program to start it or something. Is it supposed to just come on once it starts? thanks.This is the post for the red PCB ili9486/ili9488

The key difference with the other red PCB LCDs with st7789, is that it needs a new DTS and config.txt that enable the required RGB666 color format
However, there was an update in the Raspberry project that MIGHT have incorporated that DTS, and you would only need the config.txt change and the bin file
I have only tested it with RpiOS 64 bits
