That's normal for M2, instead of having to pull a device out, it angles upwards and releases. Screwing it down brings the device onto the contacts instead of sliding in.First thank you to all those who made a recommendation. I tried them all but nothing worked: untill,,,
I purchased the SSD and hat as a kit which arrived with the SSD connected. Or so it looked.
I dismantled the SSD from the hat. The moment I removed the securing nut the SSD fell out meaning it was not
correctly inserted at source which also meant quality control missed it.
So an added hint to all, make sure the SSD is correctly fitted.
