This got me some strange behaviors lol. I fell back to Raspberry Pi OS Legacy (bookworm). This is not a big deal i don't need the latest and greatest to just have a web browser and minimal functions.
However, you might get the same functionality from the gpio-shutdown overlay.
All you have to do is add a line to /boot/firmware/config.txt:Code:
dtoverlay=gpio-shutdown,gpio_pin=3
apparently there are modifications that need to be made in order to use the shutdown scripts in Pi OS.
I have found a few things about doing this as well as scripts pre written

I guess my question now is, because this does not appear to be simple commands in the command prompts anymore, what do I do with the lines of code they provide and how do I use it?
