Key size:I need a full size keyboard, for my big meaty man hands
There are special keyboards for very young children where the keycaps are "50%" bigger. Limited range of keys. The pictures look like they are missing the Ctrl, Fn, Linux, and Alt keys.
Keyboard size:
The Pi keyboard is nice. Replaceable cable. USB 2 hub with Type A ports. Readable lettering. I like 85% or TKL size, ruling out all the squashed up Pi keyboards. No 85% or 100% keyboards with larger keys.
There are some keyboards with smaller teletype style keys which results in more space between keys. Try them.
Key feel:
Pi keyboard and Pi 500 keyboard are rubbery. Better than the average notebook but not as good as mechanical. Plus the Pi 500 has almost unreadable lettering.
The Pi 500+ has mechanical. Cherry blue style. Clicky. Great for when nobody sits next to you or in the same room or same postcode.
I like quiet smooth Cherry red.
I used to buy Steel Series keyboards so my big fingers could thump the keyboard. The one I had did not last as long as good old IBM or Honeywell keyboards. The current Steel Series range in local shops is not as good as the one I bought a few years ago.
Some local shops used to display 20 different keyboards so you could choose the best fit for you. Now their display of 20 keyboards is the same keyboard from one factory in China but with 20 different brands on the boxes. Their main feature is flashing coloured LEDs but no useful backlighting.
