A grub like bopot loader would be great. What I'd like to see is a boot loader like GRUB that could live on an SD card and send the device and partition to boot to the RPi boot loader or be able to boot directly into the OS installed on that partition.I've said for some time that the installer should allow for partitioning of disks, & not take over the whole disk for the O/S.![:mrgreen:]( "Mr. Green")
What would be even better is to have a boot loader that can be similar to grub.
With PCIe expansion boards available, it's going to be more and more common to have several NVMes installed and the ability to install OSes on to each or move an existing install from one Pi to another without modifying the OS would be very useful.
