I'm gonna do something heritical here and suggest that a PI is overkill.
Export the presentation as a set of jpeg files at the screen resolution of the TV to a USB stick and use a TV that can slideshow images from a USB stick.
If I were to use a PI I'd use a zero[2][W] booting to command line and fbi to display the images controlled by a systemd service (or rc.local if you want cheap, nasty, and old school).
I'd also enable the read only root filesystem overlay to prevent corruption on unsafe shutdowns.
