As you said, raspiraw is ancient and needs Legacy PiOS to compile.
The only Raspberry camera providing libcamera software support for high framerates (media-ctl) is GS camera:

You can get uo to 570fps with that.
P.S:
1007fps with v2 camera was just nice, this is closing classical mousetrap played with 1fps.
