With this command 1000 radial next cities are ruined and then recreated, resulting in a tour 5940 longer than optimal tour:

Then I recreated using 1000 different random orderings and obtained an empirical probability density showing the expected increase in tour length from Yuichi's best tour.



All recreations had a tour length that increased by at least 5710 and none increased by more than 5860. That surprised me since the increase in your recreated tour was 5940.

Purr encouraged me to run more recreations, likely due to the the warmth provided by the Xeon server.
