I currently have 2 versions of the 7" touchscreen display. Version 1.1 and the other does not appear to have a revision marked, but just says "Raspberry Pi Touch Display" marked with an RPi logo and a date of 2022.
My Pi is running the final release of BUSTER for software dependency reasons. Running the base release runs both displays fine, however I run into compatibility issues due to a hardware change on the RPi 3B+ that require me to update the firmware. Using the manual method regarding start.elf, etc. in this document:

The software runs fine on the 2022 revision of the display, but will not run the rev 1.1 displays. I've tried various methods of modifying settings in config.txt and even thought it might be a backlight issue, but the backlight settings all appear to be fine. Any ideas?
