I am working on a prototype setup. For this, I am using a tubular motor (230V AC) that allows me to raise and lower a roller shutter. It is currently operated using a rocker switch (230V AC). However, I want to expand this system with pressure sensors. These pressure sensors must prevent someone from getting trapped between the floor and the roller shutter. I would also like to connect the system to home automation in the future and track how often the roller shutter opens and closes.
Components I already have
Tubular motor: 230V AC, 1.9A, 435W
Rocker switch: Marquardt 1839.1407
Pressure sensors: Mayser EKS 011 (Normally Open, max 24V DC, min 1mA and max 10mA, max resistance 400 ohms)
Goal
Due to the client's safety requirements, I want to continue using the rocker switch (230V AC) to operate the tubular motor, but have the actual switching take place via 12V DC control. Additionally, I want to incorporate the pressure sensors: when one is pressed, the power to the motor must be interrupted. So, a switching circuit needs to be built.
Not Allowed
The use of pressure sensors is mandatory. Infrared sensors are not allowed.
Extra Challenge
Ideally, the motor should reverse direction for 1 second when a pressure sensor is activated. In the future, I want to control the roller shutter using home automation software, and I want to be able to track how often the shutter opens and closes.
Question
Is it possible to build and program something like this with a Raspberry Pi? If so, what would I need?
