I want to create raspberry pi gadgets that can be connected with one another through physical cables. They will transfer and display data between each other.
E.g. the master pi receives an input, processes it, displays it on its lcd screen, then sends the output to the slave(s) gadget, which can process it and display it on their lcd screen.
Currently, I'm using UART and the pis are connected with jumper wires. But, in the final product, I would like the user to be able to easily plug n playing the master and slave gadgets with each other. Currently a master and slave are connected with three wires (TX, RX, GND) - how can I turn this into one cable? Is it possible? Do i need a usb to uart bridge? Any better options?
I am using raspberry pi zero 2 w model.
