Troubleshooting • Re: Unable to SSH or Ping the Raspberry PI

A few thoughts:

Ubuntu did not come with ssh installed the last time I was using it (admittedly on Intel and not Pi) - they still issue instructions on how to install it - https://devconnected.com/how-to-install ... ntu-20-04/ and https://ubuntu.com/server/docs/service-openssh

IIRC the Wifi and SSH config in the Pi imager only sets up these for the Raspberry Pi operating system and no others in the imager.
Both my laptop and raspberry pi are connected to the same network (5G)
5G normally does not use the 192.168.x.x network and you do not need to hide parts of the internal address - it cannot be reached from outside your network without knowing your external IP address and makes this issues very very hard to solve as we do not know if all devices are on the same network or not.

It's possible that the WiFi (or ethernet) network you are connected to is not 192.168.x.x - going by the laptop message it is not that or you have a routing problem on your network. Details of the laptop IP address would help.

It is also possible that the WiFi network (if that's what you are using) has client isolation turned on - this will stop you accessing the other devices on the network.

You mentioned that you sent the WiFi up but noted the ethernet port is down - can you please explain a little more about your network and how things are connected to it and each other?
