How exactly did you do that, and what version of operating system are you using ?I installed python 3.11 on a raspberry pi 3B.
In my experience alternative Python installations alongside the system default will run but will often present some problems when running. This sounds more like an installation problem, things not being how the version you are running expects to find them.
