I am trying to follow Jeff's instructions to set up a piNAS with 2.5g networking. Using an 8GB Pi, I got the NAS all set up and working with the Radxa board. Then I connected the HatBrick Commander board to the Pi, and then connected the Radxa board and the 2.5g Pineboards ethernet board to the Commander board.
When I do an lspci, I can see all the boards. When i do an lsblk, I can see the NAS in the raid configuration. However, when I connect my network cable to the 2.5g board, I don't have a connection!![Sad :-(]()
I grabbed another Pi (16GB) and connected the 2.5g ethernet board directly to it... Success!
So, it seems that...
1. The NAS works
2. The HatBrick Commander board works
3. The 2.5g ethernet board works
4. But the combination of all of these doesn't seem to work
Next steps are to...
1. Try the ethernet board with the HatBrick Commander board with no NAS (same connector)
2. Try the ethernet board with the HatBrick Commander board with no NAS (different connector)
3. Try the ethernet board with the HatBrick Commander board with the NAS (swapped connectors)
But since I'm done for the evening, I thought I would reach out here and see if anyone has any other thoughts. I'm sure I'm missing something.
Oh... I'm using a 12v power supply from Radxa to power the whole setup, so I don't think that's the issue.
Thanks in advance!
