My Pi 4 micro-cloud was also based on cheapest available. That's why the pies have neither SSDs nor SD cards and why they are powered from the 5V rail of an existing ATX power supply. The 2U server case was on sale for less than US$ 75 but the project was only fun due to squeezing the PC, switches and all the pies inside. Not going to do TP Link as they are on the verge of getting banned due to issues with China etc...
I installed unmanaged TP Link switches which I hope are less likely to become an enemy asset during the first cyber war. According to Fido, once the war begins the brand of switch won't matter because there won't be any electricity. I think it might be possible to run a Pi-based Kubernetes cluster from a windmill or maybe even a canine powered treadmill.
