I have a simple SAMBA server implemented on a Pi 2B running Ubuntu ("buster" ??) from a SDCard 8Gb the storage used in the share is very small being only a temporary store and is soon deleted, and is only used occasionaly.
It runs happily for several weeks but then it crashes and will not re-boot and any attempt to re-image, re-format, or even access from windows fails and the only indication is that the media is inaccessable.
This has happened twice with different makes and sizes of SD card so now I use a 3b and boot it from a 8Gb USB flash stick.
Any idea what the problem may be ?? It have moved to a USB stick as I have benn advised that they are more resilient --- we shall see![Wink ;-)]()
Is there anyway to recover these SDcards ??
Regards,
Dave
