Why I see low USB thumb disk speed at 33MB/s on USB thumb drive rated at 400MB/s on a RPi5 8GM RAM running RPI OS Lite (no desktop)
Previous test on RPi OS with desktop, on same hardware, returned about 250MB/s speed.
The RPI Lite OS was initially installed on slow 16 GB USB thumb drive that was tested at same 30MB/s speed. I used RPi SD disk copier to copy content of the slow USM drive to the new fast 256 GB USB drive. However the new drive showed slow speed.
Did the OS remember the slow speed USB at initial installation time???

Code:
sudo hdparm -t --direct /dev/sda/dev/sda: Timing O_DIRECT disk reads: 100 MB in 3.06 seconds = 32.70 MB/sec
