Troubleshooting • USB Drive Mounted After Reboot Black Screen

Raspberry Pi5 -4GB
Bookworm with all updates
Western Digital 1TB USB Drive - FAT32 Formatting
Ran all commands to create mount point and mount drive
Can see on Desktop and access from File Manager
Opened Fstab and added the following line:
UUID=9BE2-1346 /mnt/HD_Data FAT32 defaults 0 0
Saved and ran sudo mount -a. No errors shown
Rebooted Pi and nothing but a black screen

Only way to get back to a working computer is to use a backup card.

Since I've done this exercise several times, time to ask for help.

Appreciate suggestions.
