Apparently from a few threads online it is claimed to be possible to take a fully-upgraded Pi4 install, pop the card into a Pi5, and get it working. It sounds great, but didn't work for me.
I have a fully-updated Pi 4, originally bullseye, now bookworm. sources.list, apt update, apt upgrade, apt full-upgrade, apt dist-upgrade, everything done. Pop that card into a Pi 5 and every time, during boot:
"The installed operating system does not indicate support for raspberry pi 5"
64-bit Raspberry OS, as far as I know.
I've edited config.txt to skip the OS check, it just hangs instead.
Has anyone *actually* ever done a Pi 4 to Pi 5 update? Is there something to check? Am I missing something critical?
