A quick update. If I disable media-controller in the overlay and directly cat /dev/video0 into a file, then I can get a correct picture:

So it seems the problem lies with libcamera (or the media controller API maybe?). Is there any reason why libcamera would fail this way? Some config to add for the imx577? I have close to zero knowledge of this API.
