Just to make sure of the steps, you are inserting the microSD card, attaching all the cables and then applying power?Hello!
I know it may not be connected to your issue as such, but I started with my home automation install on my new raspberry 4. When I insert my SD card after having used raspberry imager, nothing happens. I am connected to a network cable. I used another SD card and the same. My raspberry 4 is in its case and all materials I am using are original products (incl. charger and hdmi cables). I am a little at a loss as to how I should proceed.
Also, what happens if you attach all cables, make sure the monitor is on, and then power up the Pi WITHOUT the microSD card inserted? Does anything display on the monitor?
How are you writing the microSD cards? What size are they? Are you sure the device you are using supports the size (type) of microSD card you are using? Older laptops microSD slots may not support the new higher capacity cards. Does Pi Imager complete the validation and declare success?
