My guess is that Pi 500, if such a thing does ever appear, would probably be some time in 2025 at the very earliest. From what I can gather, Raspberry Pi Ltd is busy working on CM5 at the moment, which should hopefully appear before Christmas.
The monitor definitely looks interesting for projects. For general desktop use I like to have a height-adjustable stand, so in that case attaching one via the VESA mounting holes looks like it would do the trick. Presumably it uses the 75mm or 100mm square hole spacing? Per https://www.ergotron.com/en-gb/support/vesa-standard VESA has standards for mounts with non-square hole spacings, but those seem to be less common.
