Hello Pi forum!
I am trying to create a controller for a old tipping bucket rain guage.
I have a problem when trying to read from the switch, it switches too fast so the GPIO input does not sense it, i have confirmed with a multimeter that it switches and double checked everything is connected correctly.
Is there any way to pick up on the switch faster or "extend" the switching signal somehow?

Perhaps some basic facts about what you have attempted would provide a basis for suggesting possible improvements?
What model of RPi board?
What Operating System is it running?
Which GPIO library are you using?
Can you share the script you are using to test the installation?
(In general, I would expect a GPIO pin to be at least as sensitive and responsive to change as a multimeter.)
