New observation:
With the Raspberry Pi OS card in the Pi, I cannot ping *any* device on the network from my laptop (except the laptop itself).
When the HomeAssistant card is in the PC, I can ping the other devices as well as the Pi.
Maybe this indicates that the router is reacting on the Raspberry Pi OS, blocking network traffic? I am using the same static IP for both configurations. Will experiment with this...
