Hi thanks for the reply
the switch is wired to the router direct it is a tp-link 5 port gigabit desktop switch model number TL-SG105S
so router is wired to switch.
pc and pi are the only 2 items attached to the switch both have different ip's assigned to them.
I can ssh into the pi from the pc while both are plugged into the switch the whole self hosting install process on the pi was done this way and i could access all the local gui's for portainer, nginx, and vaultwarden, via the http ip's 123.123.1.1:9000 and so on
if i unplug either 1 from the switch and plug direct into the router everything plays fine, the issue only happens when they are both attached to the switch, i have tried every port and get the same result
I declare myself puzzled and probably not able to help any further.
Doesn't that make 3 items attached to the switch?router is wired to switch.
pc and pi are the only 2 items attached to the switch both have different ip's assigned to them.
What are the IP addresses for the 3 devices? (They are probably rfc1918 Private Network addresses so there is no security risk from posting them openly here.) Do all 4 possible ping tests work? Pi->PC; PC->Pi; Pi->Router; PC->Router?
I don't have any experience of containerised network applications - in my ignorance I am going to suggest maybe there is something unexpected in the configuration of the container or the containerised apps.
